You can listen or watch.........such choice!! Enjoy this fabulous conversation!
Bad Dog Bakery business owner Ellie Winn is one of the nicest humans I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! She’s one of life’s radiators and a total gem!
Ellie is so caring and empathetic towards everyone she meets and would never want to admit that she didn’t always have the energy to give to people. We open up the conversation of how giving can be hard and draining, despite caring so deeply. “When the well is empty, where do you go?”
Sometimes YOU need to take a break and YOU need to share but that can be hard, but when you keep it all inside, it’s almost always detrimental to our own wellbeing.
Ellie generously opens up about her own mental health and wellbeing journey, which includes some chat about post-natal depression. We talk frankly about the shame of admitting you need help and Ellie is super honest about her journey into ‘new motherhood’ and her feelings of shame, a subject that gets too little airtime!
As Ellie says, “honesty allows for more honesty” and sometimes talking about the not so rosy parts of life can be refreshing and make us feel less alone……so on brand for this podcast!
TW: Post-natal depression/depression in general, overwhelm and new motherhood. Please listen when you feel you can.
